little leopard dress
I'm a leopard addict. I have multiple pairs of leopard shoes, dresses, skirts, scarfs, sweaters and pants. To me, the neutral shades and classic look makes leopard print pieces a neutral. Therefore, I don't think a wardrobe can have "too much" leopard.
This A.P.C. leopard dress is so timeless and beautiful. I love the design of the print. It's a little more graphic than some leopards, and the color of the khaki base is perfect. The safari shape is conservative, but still fun.

dianna in tracy
Dianna Agron looks so delightful (as usual) in her Tracy Reese for Anthropologie dress. She wore it to Coach's Summer Party and I think it's perfect for the occasion. I love the garden themed print and the ladylike silhouette. Dianna keeps it from looking too childish by adding amazing sparkly Miu Miu heels and the black belt gives it some edge.
The entire Tracy Reese for Anthropologie line is summery and gorgeous. I'm obsessed with the color and drape of the Elvia dress.

emma in vogue
Emma Stone looks amazing in Vogue's July issue. Her hair color and makeup are exquisite. I love the pretty colors and feminine textures. The cover shot is my favorite. I love the lingerie-inspired dress and nubby sweater. She's so beautiful (and I'm eternally jealous of her collarbone).

summer solstice
Tomorrow is the Summer Solstice, and it does not feel like the middle of summer already! This month has been busy, and the rest of the summer is going to be full of lots of planning and changes. These days the sun stays out later, and the weather has been absolutely beautiful. Hopefully I'll get a chance to enjoy it sometime soon!

birthday wishlist: katie
Katie, my saving grace at work, said that she wanted to put a "big girl bag" on her wishlist. I love this because it seems so vague, but I totally know where she's coming from. She says she wants a black bag with some brown detailing, to add some versatility. A "big girl bag," is usually a point of pride--sort of a token of your hard work. You have a real job, and you've saved enough to afford yourself this luxury. Because of this, I think the bag should be multifunctional and transition from work to a night out and not be seasonal.

birthday wishlist: kara
The sweet birthday girl, Kara, is first up in the Birthday Wishlist series. Kara is dreaming of a trip to Paris. I couldn't agree more. Though I'm currently just a hop, skip and a jump away, in Spain, there's something about the chic allure of the city of lights that can't be beat. The architecture, side streets and amazing food are only a small part of the culture that makes a trip to the most romantic city worth wishing for. (Rumor has it, Kara may be getting her wish as a gift from a very generous, special someone.)

happy birthday kara!
Happy birthday to my beautiful friend, Kara! Although I am one day older, she may certainly be considered a pillar of sophistication, captain of nights out, and chief-orderer-of-cocktails among our friends. I hope your birthday is fabulous and can't wait for poolside drinks soon!

take a holiday in spain
We got airplane rides
We got California drowning out the window side
We've got big black cars
And we got stories how we slept with all the
Movie stars
I may take a holiday in Spain
Leave my wings behind me
Drink my worries down the drain
And fly away to somewhere new
Hop on my choo-choo
I'll be your engine driver in a bunny suit
If you dress me up in pink and white
We may be just a little fuzzy 'bout it later tonight
A little excerpt from a very appropriate song...
I will be vacationing in Spain for the next week with my family. I'm looking forward to good food, art, shopping and sight-seeing.
In my absence, I've set up a little series of posts for you all that I hope you'll enjoy! I'll miss you all dearly and will be spending a serious amount of time checking up on my RSS feed when I get back! Adios!

editorial love part three
As a redhead, I love to see Heather Marks with a tan in Paul Schmidt's Hotel California for May's Marie Claire Italia. Redheads get a bad rap for being pale and freckled, but some of us can get a glow, too! The spread wardrobe and setting are evocative of a 60's summertime wardrobe, from the desert to the ocean. I love the melancholy mood and the gorgeous colors shot with a semi-sepia filter.
