little leopard dress

I'm a leopard addict. I have multiple pairs of leopard shoes, dresses, skirts, scarfs, sweaters and pants. To me, the neutral shades and classic look makes leopard print pieces a neutral. Therefore, I don't think a wardrobe can have "too much" leopard.

This A.P.C. leopard dress is so timeless and beautiful. I love the design of the print. It's a little more graphic than some leopards, and the color of the khaki base is perfect. The safari shape is conservative, but still fun.

april rules

With April's arrival and Easter coming up, I can't get enough of ladylike dresses. Light, fun colors are one of the best parts of Spring dressing. I love the feminine details that are everywhere this season, like midi hemlines, lace, collars, a-line silhouettes and floral prints. To change up the look, I love adding a tailored white blazer, or even a black leather jacket to add some edge.

who's that girl?

She was one of my best dressed of the night last night but I have no idea who Louise Roe is! Her light pink, structured Black Halo dress reminded me of the gorgeous Dior Charlize Theron wore last year, but with a masculine twist. I loved the color and the weight of the dress. I also loved the plunging neckline obscured with the sheer fabric.

Too bad I have no idea who the girl wearing this masterpiece is! Do you guys have any idea? In one picture she had an earpiece in, so I'm guessing she was a host or television personality. A Google search says she's a British host, so she had to be covering the red carpet for some television program. With a dress this lovely, it's no wonder she made it into a few red carpet photo opps.

winter white

Emma Stone looks so lovely in this Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture dress. Leave it to her, one of my favorites, to wear the ethereal, girly dress so perfectly. I've been waiting to see a piece from one of my favorite Couture Week collections make an appearance on the red carpet. Katy Perry rocked a blue, bateau neck gown from the collection at the Grammys but Emma just pulls it off so much more gracefully and beautifully. I love the details, the sleeves and that back! The dress really looks like a piece of art.

a valentine's vow

I never thought I would be a fan of this couple. I mean, unlike my roommate and her sister, I'm not a die hard fan of Step Up. But recently I've been loving Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum! She's been rocking the red carpet, I loved her Golden Globes gown, and he seems so nice and charming. She looked absolutely ready for a Valentine's Day date at the premiere of The Vow. How perfectly appropriate considering her husband's movie looks like the most weepy, romantic, cheesy, wonderful Valentine's Day movie!

The Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 dress is overtly girly with its pinkish red lace, layers of tulle and a ribbon bow. I probably would have opted for neutral shoes and clutch, but it kind of works that she went over the top with the Valentine's Day theme, considering the event she was attending.

grammys 2012

The Grammys are coming up this weekend and, again, I'm so excited to see what everyone will wear! Typically, the Grammys are much less formal. The vibe tends to be more rock 'n' roll and less princessy glamour. My favorite looks are always the ones that are still chic and beautiful, though. I love when the stars take advantage of the wilder dress code and wear different colors, shorter hemlines and trendier looks.

This year, I'd love to see neons and bright colors and metallics. I also hope that the shorter dresses remain dressed-up and festive. I'm really not a fan of seeing clubwear, or tacky looks at the Grammys. I hope to see a lot of sheer, color and floaty fabrics, similar to what I loved at Couture Week.

blushing

How gorgeous were the dresses at the Golden Globes last night? My favorite look of the night was Charlize Theron's. The plunging neckline combined with the cascading bow and train were the perfect balance of sexy and edgy and sweet and classic. I also loved Elle McPherson's frothy Zac Posen gown.

Both of these dresses showed off one of the biggest trends of the night: neutral colors. The red carpet was flooded with nudes, blushes, beiges, putties and off-whites. Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie accented their looks with pops of color, while Sarah Hyland's dress was cinched with a black lace belt. With those exceptions, the stars who wore neutrals stuck to the restrained color palette and avoided flashy accessories. In fact, jewelry was really kept to a minimum. The shades may have been simple but the styles were varied. Some were bridal, others were minimal and many were ethereal. The gowns came in different textures, like lace, tulle and sparkles.
