Coachella is upon us, and I think we all knew who the best dressed would be at the music festival before it even began. Over the years, Kate Bosworth has transformed from the California surfer girl we all wished we could be to the epitome of hipster chic.

Her place in sartorial history was solidified last year at Coachella, with that American flag shirt and desert booties. She didn't disappoint this time around, either. From her western top with black cutoffs to her Hunter boots and anorak, she's like the American Kate Moss, perfecting the casual edginess of rock chic. Even her poses are cool. I love her side slouch and how she throws her arm around boyfriend Michael Polish, showing that, although she looks like the ultimate groupie, she's not one to stand in the wings.
