How genius is this concept? Everyone knows J. Crew has mastered the art of layering and putting unique looks together with classic pieces. Sarah at Note to Self took some of the most enviable holiday looks on J. Crew's website and broke them down to their fundamentals, examining the how the outfits were put together.
The idea is simple, but so inspired, because the way J. Crew layers different prints, textures and shapes always looks so natural and perfect, and the final product looks so flawless, sometimes it's hard to notice all the separate elements. It really makes you take a step back and appreciate Jenna Lyons' amazing eye and the impeccable style of the J. Crew tastemakers, which we've probably all started to take for granted.
