simple seasons

The start of November is the official kickoff to the holiday season for me. I'm more of a warm weather kinda gal, but even I can't deny that the lazy drift into late fall/early winter has its charm. We even had an early October snowstorm last weekend.

There's something comforting about not having the pressures to leave the house when it's cold outside and all you can do is stay inside with a blanket and a fire.

Of course, the flip side is when you actually do have to leave the house and no matter how warm your boots or thick your coat, you still find yourself wanting to hibernate in a pile of pumpkin pie and flannel until spring arrives.
